VAUGHN INDUSTRIES IS VPP

Vaughn Industries, LLC received Star approval from the United States Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for meeting and exceeding the Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) requirments. Vaughn Industries is one of forty-two contractors in the United States to be approved into the VPP.

Vaughn Industries corporate office is located in Carey, Ohio with a second facility in Lewis Center, Ohio. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.

Vaughn Industries is a statewide approved contractor in OSHA’s VPP: Mobile Workforce Demonstration for Construction. Our Central Ohio facility is also approved as a Star Worksite in OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs

This award highlights Vaughn Industries’ ongoing commitment to its safety and health management processes throughout all of our project sites. OSHA’s "Star" certification came after an OSHA inspection team conducted on-site review of Vaughn Industries’ organizational, safety and health programs, and thorough interviews with employees and a complete audit of the company’s corporate facility and project sites within the four OSHA area offices in Ohio.

Vaughn Industries operates as a merit shop specialty trade’s contractor: specializing in electrical, mechanical, and high voltage construction. Over the last four years, Vaughn Industries has increased employment by more than 90%, with 421 current employees residing in 31 different Ohio counties.

The Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) promotes effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.
