Van Wert School

On September 30, 2004 we submitted and sealed a bid to Van Wert City Schools. Our total package price was approved and alternate totaled $2,618,600.00. Vaughn Industries, LLC was awarded the HVAC Contract for the New 6-12 School for Van Wert City School District. The projects physical address was 10708 State Route 118, Van Wert, Ohio 45891. The new school was constructed with masonry block, brick, poured slab-on-grade, pre-cast planking, structural steel, asphalt shingled roof, and rubber roof. The first floor was comprised of 216,260 square feet and the second floor 61,740 square feet.

The project commencement date was November 1, 2004 and the overall completion date was January 19, 2007. Vaughn Industries self performed fabrication of sheet metal ductwork, installation of ductwork, hydronic piping, and HVAC equipment. The following items were self performed by Vaughn Industries:

    * Custom and Modular Indoor Air Handling Units
    * Air Cooled Water Chillers
    * Split System Computer Room Air Conditioning Units Van Wert.jpg

    * Variable Air Volume Boxes
    * Exhaust Fans
    * Grills, Refrigerators, and Diffusers
    * Ductwork Accessories
    * Hydronic Piping Pumps and Specialties

Considering a vase majority of the work was being performed by Vaughn Industries employees, we also communicated and monitored our successful subcontractors that performed insulation of H.V.A.C. components, testing, adjusting, and balancing of systems, fire suppression system of kitchen hood(s), and heavy equipment rigging of major equipment. Overall, Vaughn Industries, LLC provided Van Wert City School with a quality HVAC system. The construction focused on the safety of our employees, subcontractors, and other trades involved with this project. The team involved in this project is very proud to represent merit shop construction and to provide the owner with a sound system.
